La Caputxeta
It’s Catalan for Red Riding Hood.
The greater region of Tarragona encircles the tiny region of Priorat - where our collaboration winery is located in a village named Gratallops - literally ‘the place where Wolves Sharpen their Claws’. And my, what nice grapes it has...
La Caputxeta wines are unfiltered, unfined, wild fermented craziness, with no added sulphites.
Macabeu - a beautiful orange wine made from a cava variety
Parellada - a more classic, fresh and vibrant white with a zesty finish
Tempranillo - Aged in clay and old oak, with savoury and mature tannins and secondary aged characters
Sumoi - the Gamay of Tarragona, aged on skins for 8 months, red cherries and savoury aromatics combine with delicious mid palate and finishes with a fine mouthcoating tannin
